What we hold, and how we hold it.

This policy applies to sodalis.club and to the application and membership experience operated by Saturday House LLC. When this page says “we,” it means Saturday House LLC doing business as Sodalis. When it says “you,” it means an applicant, a member, or a visitor.

Account details. Your name or chosen name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and account recovery answers (also stored hashed).

Application and vetting. The answers you give in the interview, the photos you upload, any video you record, and the results of identity verification. Identity verification is performed by Stripe Identity. Stripe processes your government identification and a selfie on our behalf and returns a pass or fail result with limited details. We do not store images of your government ID on our own servers.

Profile and preferences. What you tell us about your intent, your desires, your boundaries, and your travel plans, along with anything you add to your living profile.

Payment. Membership payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment, your subscription status, and limited billing metadata. We never see or store your full card number.

Communications. Messages you send curators or other members, letters you receive, and whether you opened or clicked an email we sent.

Usage and device. Pages you view, the link or source that first brought you to us, and standard log and cookie data such as IP address and browser type. We use a first-touch cookie to remember where you came from so we understand which writing reaches people.

To vet applicants and keep the room safe. To run your membership and the matchable directory. To host events and coordinate calendars. To process payments. To send the email you expect from us. To improve the writing and the experience. To meet legal and tax obligations, and to protect Sodalis and its members from fraud and abuse.

We keep the list of outside services short and we choose them for their security posture. We use Supabase for our database, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payments and identity verification, Resend for email delivery, Anthropic for the AI that helps draft and review content, and Google Calendar for members who choose to sync events. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

We do not sell your information. We do not show advertising, and we do not let anyone pay to reach you. We share information only with the providers above, when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.

We use a small number of cookies: ones that keep you signed in, one that remembers the source that first brought you to the site, and basic analytics about which pages are read. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though signing in will not work without the essential ones.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and safety obligations. If your application is declined or you leave, we delete or de-identify what we no longer need. You can ask us to delete your account, and we honor that request except where we are required to keep certain records.

Access to member data is restricted to the curators and the systems that need it. Data is encrypted in transit. Sensitive fields such as passwords and recovery answers are stored only as secure hashes, never as plain text. No system is perfect, but discretion is the product here, and we treat it that way.

You can view and update most of your profile from your dashboard. You can control visibility and privacy settings, pause your account, or leave. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time. To request a copy of your data or its deletion, write to us at curators@sodalis.club and we will respond promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data, and we will honor those rights.

Sodalis is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to apply or to use the site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

As Sodalis grows, this policy may change. When it does, we update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to members. Continuing to use Sodalis after a change means you accept the updated policy.
